Not only are the charred pieces of USDA prime beast excellent, but the kitchen follows through with commendable seafood, salads and a thorough, smart roster of side dishes. Service is as unpretentious, friendly and informed as any in town. You can go safely in many directions on the menu, but you won't go wrong with a New York strip or a fat porterhouse. And pay attention: The bartender mixes a mean martini.
